AddaptX follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Like any other website, AddaptX uses ‘cookies’. These cookies are used to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors’ browser type and/or other information.

When you access Adapt Abilitiy’s Social Media
Adapt Ability uses social media to promote our business. We have accounts on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. Where members of the public engage with our posts or publish content relevant to our business, we may like the posts, follow them, reply or write to them. We may conduct research on what people say on public social media platforms to better understand how people feel about our business and to improve our products and services. This research may be done by staff or companies we work with.
If you are a social media user, we will use social media tools as part of our relationship with you. These tools include Facebook Custom and Lookalike audiences. Through using these tools, we will provide some of your data to the social media platform to allow them to identify your social media profile. You will then be shown advertising relating to Adapt Ability which we think you will be interested in seeing. The social media platform will also use your profile to identify those with similar characteristics to you who we think may also be interested in finding out more about the work we do. These individuals will then be shown advertising about Adapt Ability. You can object to your information being shared with social media platforms. Will Adapt Ability share your personal information with anyone else?
We will only use your information within Adat Ability for the purposes for which it was obtained. Adapt Ability will not, under any circumstances, share or sell your personal data with any third party for their own marketing purposes, and you will not receive marketing from any other companies, charities or other organisations as a result of giving your details to us.
Adapt Ability suppliers
We may need to share your information with service providers who help us to deliver business activities. These “data processors” will only act under our instruction and are subject to pre-contract scrutiny and contractual obligations containing strict data protection clauses. We do not allow these organisations to use your data for their own purposes or disclose it to other third parties without our consent and we will take all reasonable care to ensure that they keep your data secure.
Facebook and other social media sites
We may also use your email address and phone number to match to your account on Facebook or other social media sites in order to show you Adapt Ability content while using these services. We only do this where you have opted in to marketing emails or phone calls and we keep your data secure by encrypting it. No data we hold about you is retained by the third party.
In addition, we may also use your email address and phone number to link to Facebook or other social media sites in order to identify other users of these sites whom we believe would be interested in Adapt Ability, and we may then show them Adapt Ability content. No data we hold about you is retained by the third party.
There are two ways to prevent this use of your data, you can either update your preferences at WheelPower by opting out of the relevant channel of communication or you can do this via the social media site:
Updating your preferences with Adapt Ability will not guarantee that you never see Adapt Ability content on social media, since the social media site may select you based on other criteria and without your data having been provided by Adapt Ability.
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
AddaptX does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
