Funding

It's not always easy to raise the funds needed for mobility equipment due to the high cost. There are a few different options available to help with funding your Omeo or Hoss depending on your specific circumstances:

Access To Work

ATW is a government-run scheme that assists people with what they need to carry out their work. They have agreed funding for a number of our customers.

Please note: the application and processing times can be incredibly lengthy. It may also be advisable to seek third party help with your application if you would like assistance. There are a number of organisations set up to provide this support, which can be found through an internet search.

Fundraising

Some of our customers have had crowdfunding set up for them by friends and family on platforms like GoFundMe or JustGiving.

These platforms take a small percentage of the funds raised. For example, GoFundMe charge a fee of 2.9% plus £0.25 per donation.

On the flip side, these platforms do allow you to reach a wide audience and manage your donations effectively.

Charities

Some charities offer help with the purchase of mobility equipment. Some are associated with a specific trade (e.g. Perennial for gardeners) and others for specific conditions (e.g. Aspire for spinal cord injury).

Aspire is a national charity providing assistance and support to people across the UK who have been paralysed by a spinal cord injury.

The charity is dedicated to equal opportunities and works towards a world where people with a spinal cord injury have an equal place in society. Aspire strongly believes people with disabilities should be free from physical obstacles, economic barriers and social prejudices.
